Hanover Survey
We need your input again please. We hope all parents will participate. Topics on this important survey include school appearance, finances, technology, instruction, as well as attitudes about safety, transportation, climate and communication.
Please make every effort to fill out this very important survey. Each year, we analyze the results of the survey. Your opinions count and we will thoughtfully and purposefully take your ideas to make improvements.

BOGO Book Fair
The BOGO book fair is only a week away! Some of the dates and times have changed. So if you already signed up please check the Sign-Up Genius for updated days and times. The Book Fair will now be from Monday, March 11th to Thursday, March 14th. We will be open late until 7PM on Tuesday and Wednesday.
This is one of the kid’s favorite events, and it’s a great deal to stock up on books for summer break. But we cannot make these events happen without support from parents (and Grandparents) like you!!!
We are excited to announce a new way to pay for your child’s favorite books this year! E-wallet is a digital way to pay that eliminates the need for cash. Set a monetary limit for your child hooked up to your debit\credit card (extended family can send money too!) And when the fair ends, any remaining money will be released back to you! Take advantage of this cool new tool by visiting the the book fair website at http://www.scholastic.com/bf/hedenkamp
We look forward to seeing you there!

Valentine’s Day
Students may bring in Valentine’s to share with the class on Thursday, February 14. They will be passed out at the end of the day. To make it easiest on the kiddos, please address them only to generic names (e.g. “Friend”, “Valentine”, “Buddy”…) instead of specific students. I have 23 students in class.
According to the District’s Wellness policy, Valentines may have non-edible items attached, but please no candy.
Toy Drive
Please bring in new toys this week for our Holiday Toy Drive. The Chula Vista Police Activities League and the Welfare Council will use the donations to support needy families in Chula Vista. This year, approximately 300 families and 900 children will receive a box of food, a gift card for groceries, and a toy or gift for each child. Participating families will be invited to a special event where parents will select gifts for their children and receive their food boxes.
